Free stacking plan template for Excel and Google Sheets
A stacking plan is a diagram of a multi-storey building drawn as a grid: one row per floor, from the top floor down, and one cell per unit on that floor. This template colours each cell from the status word typed into it, so the whole building’s availability is visible on one sheet.
What is in the file
Three sheets, and cells that colour themselves.
Stacking plan
Floors as rows, lines as columns, one cell per unit. Each cell holds the unit number and its status, as "1204 · Available". Change the word and the colour follows.
Units
One row per unit with floor, line, type, area, price and status. The list the grid is built from, with a filter on every column.
Summary
Counts and shares by status, computed from the Units sheet.
How to use it
Fill the units, type the statuses, share the file.
Fill the Units sheet from your price list.
Unit, floor, line, area, price, status. Paste from the sheet you have.
Type each unit into its cell on the grid.
As "1204 · Available". When a unit is held or sold, change the word; the cell recolours.
Open it in Google Sheets if you prefer.
File → Import → Upload. The colouring rules come with the file.
When the template stops working
The sheet is right on the morning it was coloured.
When brokers start working from a copy that is older than yours, or when the buyer on the website needs to see what is for sale without calling, the same sheet imports into Propcore and the plan draws itself, coloured by the live status of every unit.
